Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has advertised a
notification for the recruitment of 414 vacancies for Combined Defence Services
Examination (I), 2018 [Including SSC Women (Non-Technical) Course] various
courses in Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Air Force
academy. Eligible candidates can apply Online on or before 04-12-2017 till 1800
hrs/ 1800 hrs. Other details like age limit, educational qualification,

Educational Qualification: Candidates should
possess Degree of a recognised University or equivalent for S.No-1, Degree in
Engineering from a recognised University/ Institution for S.No-2, Degree of a
recognised University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor
of Engineering for S.No-3 Posts.
Application Fee: Appplicants required to pay
Rs.200/- through the following modes and Female/ SC/ ST/ PH candidates are
exempted from payment of fee.
1. Pay by cash Mode: Applicants required to pay the fee by cash Mode should print the system generated Pay in slip during Part II registration and deposit the money in any Branch of SBI on or before 03-12-2017 by 11:59 PM.
2. Net Banking Mode: Applicants required to pay the fee by using net banking facility of SBI.
3. Online Mode: Applicants required to pay the fee by using Visa/ Master Credit/ Debit card on or before 04-12-2017 till 06.00 PM.
How to Apply: Eligible Candidates can apply Online

1. Before applying candidates have to scan photo and signature in .jpg format with file not exceeding 40 KB each and not less than 3 KB for Photo and 1 KB for Signature.
2. Candidates should have valid and active Email id.
3. Log on to the website www.upsconline.nic.in.
4. Click on the link “ONLINE APPLICATION FOR VARIOUS EXAMINATIONS OF UPSC”.
5. Select the appropriate Post and click on “Click Here (Part -I)”.
6. Fill all the mandatory fields like name, gender, etc and click on “Continue”.
7. System will generate Registration-Id, retain it for further use.
8. Make payment as mentioned in application fee and retain the details for entering in Part -II registration.
9. Again Relogin and click on “Click Here (Part-II)”.
10. Login by using Registration-Id & Date of Birth.
11. Fill all the required details and upload scanned photo and signature and click on “Submit” Button.
12. After submission of Online Application take print out of finally submitted application and retain it for future use.

(c) A subject of Bhutan, or
(d) A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
(e) A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Srilanka or East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or from Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

(iii) For Air Force Academy: Unmarried male candidates age between 20 to 24 years as on 1st January, 2019 i.e. born not earlier than 02-01-1995 and not later than 01-01-1999 (Upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot Licence issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable upto 26 yrs.i.e. born not earlier than 02-01-1993 and not later than 01-01-1999).
(iv) For Officers’ Training Academy (SSC Course for Men): Male candidates (unmarried) born not earlier than 02-01-1994 and not later than 01-01-2000.
(v) For Officers Training Academy (SSC Women Non-Technical Course): Unmarried women, issueless widows who have not remarried and issueless divorcees (in possession of divorce documents) who have not remarried are eligible. They should have been born not earlier than 02-01-1994 and not later than 01-01-2000.
(i) For IMA: Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 02-01-1995 and not later than 01-01-2000

Note: Male divorcee/widower candidates can not be treated as unmarried male for the purpose of their admission in IMA/INA/AFA courses and accordingly they are not eligible for these courses.

(ii) For Indian Naval Academy: Degree in Engineering from a recognized university/institution.

Note: Those candidates who are studying in the final years Degree course and have yet to pass the final year Degree examination are also eligible to apply.
Physical Standards: Candidates must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to Combined Defence Services Examination.
